Malaysia Prime Minister: No Apology Yet from N. Korea

Malaysia is taking matters related to formal ties with North Korea one step at a time
The New Straits Times newspaper, a local daily, Monday quoted Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak as saying the government will wait for new developments after it declared North Korean Ambassador to Malaysia Kang Chol as persona non grata on Saturday.
Najib said Kang should have apologized for making baseless allegations against Malaysia and has yet to do so.
The prime minister also explained Kuala Lumpur is taking a strong stand in expelling the envoy in order to defend national pride and sovereignty, adding diplomats who are posted in Malaysia should respect the country.
