NATO Condemns N. Korea's Missile Provocations

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization(NATO) has denounced North Korea for its latest ballistic missile launches.
In a statement issued by NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu on Monday, NATO said it strongly condemns the North’s lauch of four ballistic missiles, saying they are in direct violation of a series of UNSC resolutions.
Noting that three of the four missiles reportedly landed in Japan’s exclusive economic zone(EEZ), NATO said these launches were particularly “provocative.”
NATO also recalled its meeting with South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand last December, when it urged the North to refrain from further provocative acts. It said the North needs to urgently re-engage in meaningful dialogue with the international community.
Meanwhile, Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Didier Reynders said in a tweet that he condemns the North’s ballistic missile launches, adding that the international community should sternly deal with such threats from the North.
