UNSC to Discuss N. Korean Ballistic Missile Launch Wednesday

The UN Security Council(UNSC) will convene a session Wednesday to discuss North Korea’s latest ballistic missile launches.
The U.S. mission to the UN said on Tuesday that the UNSC will hold an emergency meeting as requested by South Korea, the U.S. and Japan at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
The meeting comes in response to Pyongyang’s test-launch of four ballistic missiles on Monday.
UN Deputy Spokesman Farhan Haq issued a statement on Tuesday, condemning the launch.

“We deplore the continued violation of Security Council resolutions by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), including the most recent launches of ballistic missiles.”
"And the bottom line is we want the DPRK to return to full compliance with all of the various UN resolutions that are in effect."
Last month, the UNSC unanimously adopted a statement denouncing the North’s previous ballistic missile test launched on February 12th, the first missile provocation by the North this year.
