Malaysian Media: VX2 Mix Used in Kim Jong-nam Assassination

A Malaysian newspaper has pointed to the possibility that the two female suspects in the assassination of Kim Jong-nam could have each applied different chemicals on the victim's face to form the deadly VX nerve agent.
The New Straits Times(NST) on Monday provided a plausible answer to the mystery of the killing of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's half brother that left the two attackers unharmed despite their alleged use of the lethal chemical.
The Malaysian daily said its special probe team learned that investigators working on the murder may have found evidence of binary VX, or VX2, in the attack.
VX2 is a mix of two concoctions which on their own are not potent but becomes the deadly VX when mixed together. It is created by mixing a substance called Agent QL with elemental sulfur, or Agent NE.
The NST quoted a source as saying that one of the two female suspects might have carried Agent QL while the other female suspects might have had Agent NE.
