Acting Pres. Urges Solid Defense Posture Against N. Korea's Provocation

Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn paid a visit to the Joint Chiefs of Staff(JCS) wartime command post Tuesday, where joint South Korea-U.S. military drills are under way.
He called for a solid defense posture against North Korea’s possible provocations.
Hwang noted North Korea has fired five ballistic missiles this year and that South Korea is in a state of national emergency due to the vacant presidency.
He was joined by Defense Minister Han Min-koo, South Korea’s JCS Chairman Lee Sun-jin, U.S. Forces Korea Commander Vincent Brooks and chiefs of the Army, Navy and Air Force in the visit.
