S. Korea Criticizes N. Korea's Rejection of Dialogue

South Korea described North Korea's recent declaration that it has no interest in dialogue aimed at denuclearization as "reckless."
Foreign Ministry spokesman Cho June-hyuck said Tuesday that the declaration by the North Korean ambassador to the United Nations shows it has no intention at all to give up nuclear weapons.
He said the upcoming trip by U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is expected to be a critical point in efforts to coordinate North Korea policy among Washington, Seoul, and Tokyo.
He also said the three countries are tightly coordinating steps to pressure Pyongyang over its recent provocations, its human rights violations, and its use of chemical weaponry in the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jung-un's half brother in a Malaysia airport.
