CNN reported on Monday that North Korea conducted another ballistic missile engine test last Friday.
 
The U.S. news channel confirmed the previously unknown engine test through two Pentagon officials, who said the test was the third of its kind conducted by Pyongyang in recent weeks.
 
One of the officials told CNN that the engine technology could possibly be used for an intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM), but it was not clear whether it will require some adjustment or if it can be used at all.  
 
The North said earlier that it tested a high-thrust jet engine for an ICBM at the Sohae Satellite Launching Ground in North Pyongyan Province on March 18th, calling the test a success.
 
Missile experts, however, said the engine appears to be too small to be used for an ICBM launch.
