U.S. State Secretary Rex Tillerson said on Sunday that China recognizes that North Korea is threatening its national interests and that action has to be taken.
 
Tillerson made the remark on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday, while talking about the summit meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping held last week.
 
Tillerson said that there was no disagreement between the U.S. and China to how dangerous the North Korean situation has become.
 
He said Washington is hopeful that it can cooperate with China to “change the conditions in the minds” of the North Korean leadership, adding discussions may be useful at that point.
