Japanese Defense Chief: N. Korea Poses Threat of Chemical Attack

Japanese Defense Minister Tomomi Inada has warned that the threat and use of chemical weapons is not just a problem in Syria, but also in East Asia and North Korea.
Inada made the remarks on Tuesday during a news conference.
Regarding Washington's decision to send the Carl Vinson aircraft carrier and strike group to the Korean Peninsula, Inada said the U.S. deterrence is necessary for peace and stability in the region.
On the same day, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Tokyo appreciates Washington considering “all options” to address the North Korean issue, adding Japan will further enhance cooperation with the U.S.
