Spicer: Trump to Act Decisively, Proportionally

The White House has said that U.S. President Donald Trump keeps all possibilities open as to how to deal with North Korea’s nuclear and missile provocations.
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer made the remarks in a regular media briefing on Tuesday when asked what Trump meant when he tweeted that the U.S. will “solve the problem” unless China helps with the North Korea issue.
Spicer said Trump has made it clear that he will not tolerate provocative actions by North Korea however the press secretary declined to comment in detail saying Trump is not “one who is going to go out there and telegraph his response.”
Referring to the recent U.S. air strike on Syria, Spicer said it shows when Trump is willing to act, it’s going to be decisive and proportional to make it very clear what the position of the United States is.
Asked about the redeployment of a US aircraft carrier to the Korean Peninsula, Spicer said it is a prudent measure and ensures that the U.S. has strategic capabilities and options in the region.
