N. Korean People's Assembly Do Not Address Nuclear Issue
The Supreme People’s Assembly was held in North Korea on Tuesday with Kim Jong-un in attendance but the regime did not release any message related to its nuclear ambition.
North Korean state-run news outlets reported Tuesday night that the fifth session of the 13th SPA was convened at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang.
Dressed in a Mao suit, the young North Korean leader was seen on a podium with Kim Yong-nam, Hwang Pyong-so, Choe Ryong-hae and Pak Pong-ju on his sides.
The North set up a parliamentary committee on foreign affairs and selected Foreign Minister Ri Su-yong, vice chairman of the Central Committee of the ruling Workers' Party, as its chairman.
