Voice of America(VOA) said Thursday that a global assembly of North Korean defectors will open in Brussels on April 25th.
 
VOA said the assembly meeting will denounce Pyongyang's nuclear and missile provocations and human rights violations.
 
In a phone interview with the U.S. broadcaster, Kim Joo-il, secretary general of the U.K.-based International North Korean Association for Human Rights and Democracy said the upcoming gathering will call for a referral of North Korean officials responsible for crimes against humanity to the International Criminal Court. 
 
He said the assembly will also address the human rights of overseas North Korean workers, the forced repatriation of North Korean defectors as well as the recent assassination of the North Korean leader's half brother Kim Jong-nam in Malaysia.
 
President of the Free North Korean Association in the EU, Chang Man-sok, said that North Korean defector groups will attend the assembly from Germany, France, the Netherlands and the U.K. as well as from South Korea, the U.S. and Japan.
