China Calls for Avoiding 'Acts that Add Fuel to Fire'

In response to North Korea’s recent failed missile launch, China has repeated its warning that relevant parties should refrain from any acts that add fuel to the fire.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said during a regular news briefing on Monday that the present state of affairs on the Korean Peninsula is highly complex, sensitive and dangerous.
He said Beijing has consistently urged relevant parties to avoid provocative acts and instead work to ease tensions in the region.
Spokesman Lu called on all parties to try and create a favorable environment for resuming talks and seeking a peaceful and reasonable resolution to the current crisis.
