N. Korea Ready to Respond to "Any Mode of War"

According to a North Korean representative at the UN, North Korea is ready to respond to “any mode of war” the U.S. wants, should the U.S. push for military action against it.
Kim In-ryong, the deputy North Korean ambassador to the UN, made the comment during a media conference at the UN headquarters in New York, Monday, criticizing Washington for escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula and vowing to strongly respond to any “provocative” act led by the U.S.
Kim claimed that the U.S. is turning the Korean Peninsula into “the world’s biggest hotspot,” and creating “a dangerous situation in which a thermonuclear war may break out at any moment.”
The diplomat also rejected an upcoming UN Security Council meeting on the North’s nuclear issue, saying the North is opposed to the necessity of such a meeting. U.S. State Secretary Rex Tillerson will preside over the UNSC gathering on Wednesday of next week.
