Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called for a voice of reason and peace in resolving the North Korean nuclear issue.
 
According to China’s official Xinhua news agency on Monday, Wang made the call on Sunday after his talks with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias in Greece.
 
The Chinese foreign minister said during a joint news conference that China remains firm and consistent in its position on the issues regarding the Korean Peninsula, stressing peaceful means should be used to realize a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula and maintain peace and stability in the region.
 
Wang also said that China will continue to play its constructive role in resolving the North Korean nuclear issue through dialogue and cooperation with related countries.
