Trump Urges UNSC to Impose Tougher Sanctions on N. Korea

U.S. President Donald Trump has urged the UN Security Council to slap stronger sanctions on North Korea to resolve its nuclear and missile issues.
Trump made the remark during a luncheon meeting with the ambassadors from the UNSC member states at the White House on Monday.
He said the status quo in North Korea is unacceptable, calling on the UNSC to be prepared to impose additional and stronger sanctions on the North’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
Calling the programs a real threat to the world, Trump said it is a problem that “people put blindfolds on for decades” and needs to be solved.
