Top foreign-affair policy makers of the European Union and Russia have reached a consensus on continuously working together for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
 
The EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini announced the result of her meeting with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Monday during a joint press conference.
 
Mogherini said Russia and Europe discussed issues which the two sides can cooperate constructively on,  not only their mutual benefits but also for global stability mentioning the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula as the first example of a possible area of bilateral cooperation.
 
Mogherini also said the two sides discussed possible cooperation on the peace talks in Afghanistan, climate change and sustainable development.
