Former UN Chief Voices Opposition to Military Options on N. Korea

Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has voiced opposition to military options that have emerged to deal with the North Korean nuclear issue.
The former UN chief warned against using force to resolve the issues surrounding the Korean Peninsula, while speaking at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University on Tuesday.
Ban said it is not desirable that some countries are taking an excessive hard-line stance, adding that a military collision on the Korean Peninsula will result in a catastrophe, and stressed diplomatic and political means to resolve the current crisis.
