White House Considers Re-designating N. Korea as Terrorism Sponsor

The U.S. is considering putting North Korea back on its list of state of sponsors of terrorism.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity during a background media briefing on Wednesday, a senior White House official revealed the current standing.
While discussing the issue of blacklisting North Korea, the official also stressed that the U.S. is remaining vigilant to identify any indicators of another nuclear or ballistic missile test and is prepared to “respond to any of those provocations.”
Regarding a White House briefing for U.S. Senate members on North Korea policies held on Wednesday, the official said that its aim was to highlight and communicate the seriousness of the threat from the North.
