Putin, Abe Agree to Cooperate on Restraining N. Korea's Provocations

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe have agreed to make joint efforts to restrain North Korea from conducting additional provocations.
 
The two leaders announced the agreement during a joint press conference following their summit meeting at the Kremlin on Thursday.
 
Putin said he and Abe discussed the situations on the Korean Peninsula said that they had gotten a lot worse, adding they urge all the parties concerned to restrain from using “belligerent rhetoric and strive for peaceful constructive dialogue.”
 
Putin also said they both wanted to see a resumption of the stalled Six-Party Talks on the denuclearization of the North.  
 
Abe said two countries agreed to make efforts and coordinate with each other in making the North thoroughly implement the UN Security Council resolutions and restrain from additional provocations.
