The White House has made it clear that conditions are not right for U.S. President Donald Trump to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Monday addressed Trump’s interview with Bloomberg during which he said he is willing to meet with Kim under the right circumstances.

"We've got to see their provocative behavior ratcheted down immediately. Those are there's a lot of conditions that I think would have to happen with respect to its behavior. And it's and to show signs of good faith. Clearly the conditions are not there right now."
 
He said both Trump and U.S. State Secretary Rex Tillerson have made it clear that if conditions and circumstances present themselves the U.S. will be prepared, but now is not that time.
