Tillerson: US Considers New Sanctions on N. Korea

U.S. State Secretary Rex Tillerson said the U.S. is considering slapping additional sanctions on North Korea if the regime moves ahead with any provocative actions deserving a further response.
In a speech addressed to the employees of the U.S. State Department on Wednesday, Tillerson also called on the international community to sternly deal with the North’s threats and urged countries around the world to implement existing UN Security Council sanctions on the regime’s nuclear and missile programs.
He said the U.S. would also be willing to use secondary sanctions on third country companies continuing illicit business with the North.
He added when the U.S. sees companies or individuals not implementing the UN sanctions, it will contact and ask them to “take care of it.”
