Seoul: N. Korean Media's China Criticism is Proof Sanctions Are Working

Seoul's Foreign Ministry says that the North Korean state media's strong criticism of China is proof that sanctions and pressure applied on the North via China are having their effect.
In a regular briefing Thursday, ministry spokesman Cho June-hyuck said that Seoul hopes China will play a constructive role in pressuring Pyongyang.
He said that recent reactions by North Korean media are evidence the sanction and pressure campaign on the regime is working.
The spokesman noted it's unusual for a North Korean media outlet to directly name China and speak about "crossing the red line."
The North's state-run Korean Central News Agency published a commentary in the name of "Kim Chol" on Wednesday and argued that it is not the North who crossed the red line in bilateral relations but that China has recklessly trampled upon and crossed that line.
