CIA Creates Korea Mission Center to Deal with N. Korea's Nuke Threats

The U.S.’ chief intelligence agency has created a special organization to deal with North Korea’s nuclear threats.
The Korea Mission Center established on Wednesday by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency(CIA) is designed to collect intelligence regarding North Korea’s nuclear weapons and long-range missile technologies.
Experienced CIA officers assigned to various missions were recruited from across the agency to work with the center. It is the first time the CIA has created a center focused on a specific country.
Jonathan Liu, a spokesman for the agency, said the CIA needs to adapt to deal with the evolving national security threats against the U.S.
In a statement, CIA Director Mike Pompeo said the center will allow the agency to more purposefully integrate and direct efforts against the serious threats to the U.S. and its allies emanating from the North.
