Japan: N. Korean Missile Flies 800km on Sunday

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga says that a missile fired by North Korea early Sunday morning flew approximately 800 kilometers before landing in the East Sea near Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
He told reporters on Sunday that the North Korean missile flew for about 30 minutes.
Japan’s Kyodo News quoted other Japanese government official as saying that the North Korean missile appears to have been launched on a lofted trajectory, which is higher than ordinary missile launch angles.
The Japanese news agency said that it seems the missile reached an altitude of more than one-thousand kilometers. It added that concerns are rising over the possibility that the latest missile launch could lead to the North’s development of an intercontinental ballistic missile, which is capable of hitting the United States mainland.
