Japan Quickly Responds to N. Korean Missile Firing

The Japanese government has strongly condemned North Korea’s ballistic missile launch on Sunday morning.

As part of its quick responses to the North Korean missile launch, Tokyo convened a meeting of their National Security Council (NSC) on Sunday.

Prior to convening the NSC meeting, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told reporters that the North pushed ahead with a missile launch again in defiance of strong international warnings, calling it unacceptable.

He stressed that Japan is strongly protesting the North Korea launch, as repeated ballistic missile launches by the regime are a grave threat to Japan and are also in clear violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said in an emergency news conference that Tokyo vehemently condemned the latest North Korean missile firing through its embassy in Beijing.
