Moon Gives Grave Warning to N. Korea over Missile Launch

President Moon Jae-in warned North Korea against its ballistic missile launch.
Shortly after the North Korean missile firing on Sunday, the president immediately convened an emergency meeting of the National Security Council.
During the meeting at the presidential office's underground bunker, Moon expressed deep regret over the North's move, noting that it came only a few days after the new government was elected in the South.
While calling the missile launch a reckless provocation, the commander in chief ordered the military to maintain an airtight defense readiness in order to counter any military provocations from North Korea.
Moon stressed that the ballistic missile launch is a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions and a challenge to regional and global peace.
He ordered the Foreign Ministry to take the necessary actions against the latest North Korean provocation in cooperation with the United States, other allies and the international community.
