'New Zealand Possibly Came under Cyberattacks by N. Korea'
New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English said that his country may have come under cyberattacks from North Korea.
New Zealand media reported that the prime minister, who is visiting Japan, told reporters on Wednesday that his country is believed to have been a target for the North’s cyberattacks.
English said that North Korea is a rogue state and they are doing all kinds of things that most other countries do not.
However, he added that there is no evidence to prove the recent global WannyCry ransomware attacks actually hit New Zealand.
Cyber security experts are raising the possibility that North Korea may be behind the ransomware attacks, which hit 150 countries around the world.
