China Criticizes N. Korea's Missile Provocation
China has criticized North Korea’s latest missile test, calling it a violation of UN Security Council resolutions.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Monday during a regular news briefing that Beijing holds a clear and consistent position on the North’s missile activities.
The spokeswoman noted that UNSC resolutions strictly ban the North’s ballistic missile activities and said China opposes such activities by the North, which run counter to the resolutions.
She added the present state of affairs on the Korean Peninsula is complex and sensitive, and urged relevant parties to remain calm and exercise restraint.
