US Flew B-1B Bombers over East Sea after N. Korea's Missile Launch
It has been confirmed that the U.S. flew two supersonic B-1B strategic bombers over the East Sea within five hours of the North’s latest missile launch on Monday.
A Seoul official said on Tuesday that two U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancers arrived in the skies over the East Sea around 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
The official added the bombers joined the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier in the East Sea for a joint trailing and flew toward the South Korean inland.
The South Korean Air Force’s F-15K fighter jets are said to have accompanied the two U.S. bombers as they flew inland. The B-1B Lancers then trained in the sky over South Korea before leaving the peninsula over the Yellow Sea.
The North has previously responded sensitively to the arrival of the U.S. bombers on the peninsula.
