Merkel Warns against N. Korean Nuke Threat
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has warned that the North Korean nuclear crisis can upset world peace.
Merkel made the remarks in a joint news conference with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, following their meeting in Berlin on Thursday.
The German chancellor revealed what she discussed with Li, saying that a nuclear conflict with the North was a top diplomatic issue during their meeting.
While calling for the enforcement of international sanctions on the Pyongyang regime, Merkel stressed that she and the Chinese premier agreed on the need for continued efforts to seek a diplomatic solution to the North Korean issue.
