Jiji Press: Seoul, Tokyo to Establish Hotline to Discuss N. Korean Provocations

Japan’s Jiji Press reported on Thursday that South Korea and Japan will soon install a hotline for bilateral communication during contingencies regarding North Korea.
Jiji said the hotline will likely be used for swift contact and coordination for responses between the two countries in case the North conducts a nuclear test or ballistic missile launch.
Jiji said the two countries agreed on the establishment of the hotline during a meeting between South Korean Defense Minister Han Min-koo and his Japanese counterpart Tomomi Inada in Singapore last Saturday.
