The South Korean military says an intensive search for possible North Korean drones is under way at frontline units.

A military official said after the discovery of a North Korean drone last week in Inje, Gangwon Province, all frontline units have been conducting full-scale search and reconnaissance to find additional drones.

The official explained that under the supervision of the Master Control and Reporting Center of the Air Force Operations Command, the military has established a counterdrone operation system that allows joint operation of detection and strike assets.

The military is also deploying a weapons system that can detect and neutralize small-sized drones while a drone detection radar and jamming system has already been deployed in Seoul.
