Former pro basketball star Dennis Rodman has reportedly given U.S. President Donald Trump's book "The Art of the Deal" to North Korea's sports minister in Pyongyang.

The Associated Press reports Rodman, who is on a visit to Pyongyang, requested Minister Kim Il-guk pass the book on to leader Kim Jong-un as a present.

Rodman appeared on Trump's reality television show "Celebrity Apprentice" for two seasons before Trump fired him. 

His arrival in North Korea Tuesday came just hours after Pyongyang decided to release Otto Warmbier, an American university student who had been imprisoned in the North for 17 months, most of which it turns out he spent in a coma.

The State Department says Rodman's visit has nothing to do with the U.S. government or the release of Warmbier.
