US Contemplates Travel Ban to N. Korea

The United States says it is contemplating a plan to ban Americans from visiting North Korea.
U.S. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert made the remark in a regular media briefing on Tuesday, answering a question on the U.S.’ response to the death of American student Otto Warmbier, who died six days after he was released from the North in a coma.
Nauert said the department has not made a decision on travel restrictions to the North yet, but is continuously looking at it.
Asked why the U.S. has not imposed a travel ban to North Korea yet, she said the department has put in place a very strong warning against travel to the North for quite some time.
Nauert emphasized the U.S. government strongly encourages Americans not to go to the North.
