RFA: Trump Extends Sanctions against N. Korea
Radio Free Asia(RFA) reports that U.S. President Donald Trump has extended sanctions against North Korea for another year.
According to the U.S. international broadcaster, Trump informed Congress on Wednesday that he is continuing for one year the national emergency with respect to North Korea.
In a presidential memorandum, Trump said North Korea's nuclear program poses an "unusual and extraordinary threat" for U.S. security, foreign policy and economy.
The executive order against North Korea was introduced by former U.S. President George W. Bush on June 26th, 2008 and expanded under the Obama administration.
