Trump, Xi Reaffirm Commitment Toward Denuclearization of Korean Peninsula
The White House says that U.S President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping have reaffirmed their commitment toward the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
According to the White House, Trump told Xi over the phone last Sunday that the threat from North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles is growing.
Trump is also said to have told the Chinese leader that he will seek more balanced trade relations with the U.S.’ trading partners.
The two leaders are set to meet on the sidelines of the G20 summit which will be held in the northern German city of Hamburg on Friday and Saturday of this week.
