"The provocation is a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions, and an outright defiance against South Korea, the U.S., China and others in the international community."
"I expressed deep disappointment and regret over the fact that the North engaged in the latest provocation just a few days after U.S. President Donald Trump and I called on Pyongyang to refrain from provocations and military action."
Moon said the missile fired on Tuesday is presumed to be an intermediate-range ballistic missile. However, he was quick to add that there is a possibility that the missile could be an intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM).
He said if the missile proves to be an ICBM, he will devise strong corresponding measures.
Moon added that South Korea will employ sanctions and dialogue and all other possible measure for the safe denuclearization of North Korea, while pledging stern defense against Pyongyang’s threats based on the South Korea-U.S. military alliance.
