Defense chiefs of South Korea and the U.S. have discussed how to make North Korea pay the corresponding price for its recent launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM).
 
The Defense Ministry in Seoul said on Friday that Defense Minister Han Min-koo and his American counterpart James Mattis spoke on the phone on Thursday evening and strongly condemned the North’s latest ICBM provocation.
 
The two defense chiefs discussed diverse measures to curb further provocations by the North and how to make Pyongyang pay the corresponding price for its provocation.
 
The ministry did not elaborate on details of the measures discussed.
 
Minister Han also spoke with Japanese Defense Minister Tomomi Inada on Thursday to share information on the North’s missile test.
