United States President Donald Trump said that "something has to be done" about North Korea during his talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Germany.

In the bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg on Saturday, Trump called for additional sanctions against the North, after expressing his appreciation for the things that China has done relative to the very substantial problem that they all face in North Korea.

The comment is seen as Trump’s call on China to actively join Washington’s pursuit of tougher sanctions against the North following its recent test launch of an alleged intercontinental ballistic missile.

Trump added that it may take longer than he and Xi would like, but there will be success in the end, one way or the other, on the North Korean issue.
