Seoul’s Unification Ministry says it is waiting for Pyongyang’s response to President Moon Jae-in’s proposal for inter-Korean dialogue.
 
In a report to the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee on Monday, the ministry said it will push for dialogue with North Korea pending the North’s responses to Moon’s proposals.
 
In a speech in Berlin on Thursday, Moon proposed the two Koreas ease border tension on the 64th anniversary of the inter-Korean armistice on July 27th and arrange inter-Korean family reunions on the October fourth Chuseok holiday. The president also suggested the North participate in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics to be held in South Korea in February.
 
The North has yet to make an official response to the proposals.
