First Vice Foreign Minister Leaves for Europe to Discuss N. Korea

First Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam embarked on a six-day trip to Sweden, the U.K. and the European Union(EU) on Thursday to exchange opinions on bilateral relations and coordination on North Korean policies.
Lim will hold the eighth policy consultation meeting with Swedish Deputy Foreign Minister Annika Soder on Friday to discuss cooperation on bilateral, regional and global issues.
Lim will then visit the U.K. on Monday to meet with the British Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific Mark Field. During the meeting, they are expected to exchange opinions on political, economic and trade issues, the future of bilateral relations following the U.K.’s decision to leave the EU, and North Korean nuclear issues.
On Tuesday, he will meet with European External Action Service Secretary-General Helga Schmid to discuss South Korea-European Union(EU) relations and issues concerning the Korean Peninsula, East Asia and Europe.
