Seoul Closely Monitoring N. Korea over Possible Missile Provocation

In the wake of fresh media reports that another intercontinental ballistic missile launch by North Korea may be imminent, Seoul’s Foreign Ministry says it is closely monitoring the situation.
Ministry spokesman Cho June-hyuck explained during a regular briefing on Thursday that South Korean and U.S. military authorities are conducting thorough surveillance on the regime in preparation for any ballistic missile threats.
The spokesman also urged the North to quickly take the path toward denuclearization as provocations will only be followed by stronger sanctions and pressure.
Earlier, CNN of the United States reported there is a possibility Pyongyang will test-fire an ICBM or an intermediate-range ballistic missile(IRBM) within two weeks.
