38 North: High Possibility of N. Korea's Additional SLBM Launch
The U.S.-based North Korea monitoring web site "38 North" believes North Korea may be preparing a test of an updated submarine-launched ballistic missile.
The site's editors believe the test may involve an updated Pukguksong-1, or KN-11, missile or even some newer system in the near future.
They base that suspicion on satellite imagery indicating a recent redeployment of a Sinpo-class submarine and a submersible test stand barge at the Sinpo South Shipyard.
"38 North" speculates the move may be connected to plans for a test, or may possibly be part of training or maintenance activities.
