N. Korea Warns of Catastrophic Inter-Korean Relations over Human Rights

North Korea has warned that if South Korea seeks a malicious fuss about the North’s human rights conditions, inter-Korean relations will face a catastrophe.
The North’s propaganda Web site Uriminzokkiri on Saturday issued the warning in an editorial, criticizing a recent meeting between South Korean top officials and United Nations Special Rapporteur on North Korea Tomas Ojea Quintana.
The site said that during the conservative South Korean governments under Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye, inter-Korean relations deteriorated to their lowest point due to their plots and fusses about North Korean human rights.
It added that the current South Korean government forgot the lessons of the past and is about to make the same mistake.
The UN rapporteur visited Seoul from Monday to Friday to meet with various government officials including Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha and Unification Minister Chun Hae-sung to discuss ways to improve North Korean human rights conditions.
