VOA: N. Korea Reduces Daily Food Rations from 400g to 300g

North Korea has reportedly reduced daily food rations to its people by 25 percent.
The Voice of America(VOA) on Tuesday quoted recent data from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs(OCHA) as saying the North Korean authorities recently lowered the daily distribution of food per person from 400 grams to 300 grams.
The decrease in food allotment draws concerns about the well-being of the North Koreans as the UN suggests each North Korean take at least 600 grams of food per day.
The U.N. agency says recent severe drought conditions in the North probably decreased harvests of double-cropping foods such as wheat, barley and potato.
