'N. Korea Likely to Conduct Another Missile Test Thursday'

Foreign media is reporting that North Korea is likely to conduct another missile launch on Thursday, just weeks after its missile test on July 4th.

AFP quoted an unidentified U.S. defense official as saying that the U.S. Defense Department on Tuesday detected signs showing the North is preparing for another missile test.

The official reportedly said that the North is preparing to test an intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM) or intermediate-range missile, possibly on Thursday which is the 64th anniversary of the end of the Korean War.

Quoting a U.S. defense official, CNN also issued a similar report on Monday, saying that transporter vehicles carrying ballistic missile launching equipment were seen arriving in Kusong, North Korea on Friday. The official said that when such equipment is seen, a launch could occur within six days.

Last Wednesday, CNN reported that U.S. satellites detected new imagery and satellite-based radar emissions indicating the North may be testing components and missile control facilities or another ICBM or intermediate-range missiles.
