US Senate Overwhelmingly Votes for New Sanctions on N. Korea, Russia, Iran
The U.S. Senate has overwhelmingly passed a package of sanctions against North Korea, Russia, and Iran.
The Senate on Thursday passed the bill in a 76 to one vote.
The sanctions package, which includes new sanctions against the three nations, also passed the House of Representatives by an overwhelming 419 to three on Tuesday.
The combined sanctions bill will now be sent to President Donald Trump to sign or veto.
The bill includes comprehensive measures against North Korea including blocking oil exports to the North, banning the employment of North Korea's forced laborers and barring North Korean ships from operating in American waters.
