Kim Jong-un Makes First Public Appearance in Two Weeks

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the cemetery of Korean War veterans on Thursday to mark the 64th anniversary of the conclusion of the war.
 
The North’s official Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) reported on Friday that Kim visited the cemetery in Pyongyang and paid his respects to the late veterans on the Korean War anniversary.
 
Kim was accompanied by top military officials including Hwang Pyong-so, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People’s Army, and Ri Myong-su, the chief of General Staff of the People's Army.
 
It marked Kim’s his first public appearance in two weeks after he awarded prizes to officials who developed the North’s Hwasong-14 intercontinental ballistic missile on July 13th.
