The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency(CIA) Director Mike Pompeo has picked North Korea and terrorism as the two most immediate threats to U.S. security.
 
Pompeo made the remark in an interview with the Washington Free Beacon on Wednesday.
 
Asked whether the U.S. intelligence agency prefers diplomacy or sanctions when dealing with the North Korean threat, Pompeo declined to comment, only suggesting they will see what U.S. President Donald Trump will tell the agency to do.
 
He also refused to answer a follow-up question on whether Trump has made some instructions regarding the North, but emphasized the recent creation of a North Korean mission center designed to address the threat from the North Korean government to the world.
